Die Neuigkeiten rund um Battlefield 1 wollen nicht aufhören. Jetzt gibt es erste Infos zu Map Packs, Mikrotransaktionen und einem Serverbrowser.
Im Rahmen einer Investorenkonferenz sind neue Details für Battlefield 1 zu geplanten Inhalten, wie etwa Mikrotransaktionen und Map Packs veröffentlicht worden. Gleichzeitig veröffentlichte der Entwickler DICE neue Infos bezüglich eines Serverbrowsers, der für ein Spiel des Battlefield Franchise fast schon Pflicht ist.
Wie EA gegenüber seinen Investoren bestätigte, wird es in Battlefield 1 Mikrotransaktionen und Map Packs geben. Dass diese nur gegen Echtgeld zur Verfügung stehen werden, bleibt wohl außer Frage. Allerdings wurde noch kein Premium oder Season Pass ähnliches Modell vorgestellt. Für die Mikrotransaktionen gilt wahrscheinlich dasselbe, wie schon in Battlefield 4. Keine vorteilverschaffenden Inhalte sondern lediglich Battlepacks und einige Monate nach Release die passenden Shortcuts um das ganze fair zu halten. Wie genau das alles funktionieren wird, möchte EA seinen Fans aber wahrscheinlich schon auf der E3 präsentieren.
Die Wichtigkeit eines Serverbrowser sollte jedem klar sein, der das Desaster um das Matchmaking in Battlefront miterlebt hat. Deshalb war dies auch eine der am häufigsten gestellten Fragen beim vor kurzem stattgefundenen Twitter Q&A. Auf die Frage ob es einen Serverbrowser in Battlefield 1 geben werde, antwortete man mit einem kurzen:

Dies sollte einigen der Fans, die trotz der Ankündigung von kostenlosen Inhalten für Battlefield 1 noch immer nicht wirklich überzeugt waren, gefallen. Dennoch sollte mit der Vorbestellung bis zur Beta gewartet werden, auch wenn DICE einen stabileren Launch verspricht.
